Children and Youth Ministries
Purpose
To provide the framework for planning, coordinating, and leading activities that encourages the spiritual and comprehensive formation of children and youth. It will provide the opportunity for people to minister to young people in a manner that both pleases and glorifies God.
Team Ministry Functions
It is the responsibility of Children and Youth Team Ministry to set goals, develop plans, and direct volunteers to lead in ministry to young people. Members of this ministry will work closely with the Minister of children and youth to explore ideas, human resources, and material in seeking to reach out and develop young people. Children & Youth Team Ministry will prepare and submit fiscal requirements, projections, and dreams to the Financial Ministries for consideration and inclusion, as appropriate, in the church budget.
1. Children’s Ministry: coordinates and recruits the personnel to lead and support
classes and activities for children including Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and
Wednesday evening programs.
2. Youth Ministry: seeks to provide opportunities for youth to develop a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ through experience of expression, Bible learning,
and interaction with others.
3. Outreach Events: coordinates and promotes various activities such as Vacation
Bible School in a calendar year.
4. Other Ministries: responsible for recruitment of all personnel who oversee other
youth activities associated with the ministry of the church.
