Mission Team Ministry
Purpose
To provide the framework for planning, coordinating, and leading activities to promote missions both locally and globally. In so doing, the church will achieve its goals of helping to extend the message of Christ the length and breadth of the earth (Matt. 28:18-20). It will provide opportunities for the membership to participate in missions –oriented activities.
Team Ministry Functions
It is the responsibility of Missions Team Ministry to set goals, develop plans, and enlist involvement in missions. Members of this ministry will oversee the missions budget and receive reports from missionaries. Missions Team Ministry will prepare and submit fiscal requirements, projections, and dreams to the Financial Ministries for consideration and inclusion, as appropriate, in the church budget.
1. Local Missions: coordinates funding and recruits the personnel to participate in
missions outreach in the surrounding area.
2. World Missions: coordinates funding and recruits the personnel to participate in
missions outreach with a cross-cultural and global focus.
3. Activities Support: promotes and enhances the awareness of missions within the
congregation.
